TAP is accepting applications for our upcoming 2009-2010 season for directors, producers and stage managers. We're looking for good people, who enjoy having fun and want to put on a show (not necessarily in that order!).
So, have you ever been in a show or seen a show and said "Why did he move there?" or "What was the point of that monologue?" or "Did we really need to see that on stage?", here's your chance to put your directing touch on a show.
Or maybe you sat in the audience and wondered "Who did the costumes for this?" or "Couldn't they have found better furniture?" or "Ouch! They probably could have used a breakaway bottle there!", here's your chance to produce a show.
Or maybe you chatted after seeing a show and said "Wow, was that light cue ever late!" or "Did the phone even ring?" or "I don't think that explosion was supposed to happen..", here's your chance to stage manage a show.
Directing, producing, stage managing...they're a lot of work but they're a lot of fun and the rewards are numerous. Interested?? Send us an email, tell us a little bit about yourself, your theatre experience, your favourite colour, etc. and we'll get back to you.
Oh by the way...did I mention you get paid for these three positions? It's not a lot, more of an honourarium than a salary, but enough that you should be able to buy a round of drinks for the cast once in a while.
So send in your application today! Who knows? Your name could become synonymous with Spielberg, Scorcese or Stallone!! Well maybe not Stallone...but those other two guys for sure!
